In order to succeed in this online course, you must be comfortable working with technology. At a minimum, you must possess the following technical skills:
- Ability to use the Internet in an effective and efficient manner, including installation and management of browser plug-ins and add-ons.
- Basic knowledge about the operation of a computer, file management, and software installation.
- Working knowledge of the Canvas learning management system.
- Ability to proficiently search the web for information
- Ability to download and print information from websites
- Ability to download, view, and/or print PDF files

Course Policies
Attendance Policy: You are required to login to the course and complete some aspect of the assigned work each week in order to be counted as active in the course. If you do attend the course each week and you make your very best attempt to complete all assigned work per the syllabus, I will grant a participation bonus at the end of the course. This bonus will help many of you in achieving a better overall grade for the course. Please remember, you MUST at least attempt to complete all assignments and submit them to me for grading in order to earn these bonus points.
Grading Turnaround Time:
All completed assignments will be graded no later than seven days from the submission date, and sooner when possible.
Late Work Policy:
Please contact me ahead of time if you are going to be late submitting your work for any reason. If you do let me know, I can work with you on staying caught up with the course and assist you in any way that I possibly can depending on your specific circumstances.
